Economic Crisis

What are your thoughts on the economic crisis ? Should there be a bailout by the government? If the bailout is not passed, what do you think is going to happen? Why are these corporations failing?


My thoughts are that the government should help them, but not to the full extent. If the businesses do not try on their own, then the government should no thelp either.

My Weekend

What all did you do this past weekend? Go to the game in Moultrie? Go to church? etc.

This past weekend I got my hair done and babysitting. I did not go to the game in Moultrie but i did call and congatulate some of the team players. Yes, I did go to Sunday school yesterday and I had a good time.

Army Reps

How did yesterday's Army representatives influence your future choices? Are you now contemplating an army career after high school?

My career choices are still the same. The only thing different, is that I was planning on letting them pay for my going to college but now I have changed my mind. I have decided to just go and pay for it by receiving scholarships and grants.

Legal Drinking Age

Channel One has recently been talking about the push by some to change the legal drinking age. Should it be changed from 21 to 18? Why or why not? Pros and cons to the change?

I do not believe that the legel drinking age should be lowered because some teenagers are not mature enough to handle the effects of it. Drinking it can give you poor blood circurculation and you coould have trouble breathing.

Last week's College & Career Speaker

What was your overall impression of the speaker? Did you enjoy the presentation? Do you think the speaker's presentation will aid you in your post secondary (college, tech, trade school, military, etc.) and career choices? What didn't you like about the presentation? Should Ms. Gay continue having speakers come into our class?

I believe that the speaker did very good. He was able to help me to decide whether or not if I wanted to go to college or tech school. This experience was great and I learned about things that I had never heard before.

Being Followed

How would you handle being constantly followed by someone? Would you welcome or resent the protection? Write on paragraph (5 sentences +) describing your thoughts.

I would not be able to handle being followed by someone. I believe that if I was to be followed, it would make me fell as if I am being stalked. It would make me feel like who is ever watching me, that they are planning on doing something bad. It would also make me feel as if I can not be trusted by my parents or by who ever is my gaurdian. Sometimes I feel as if being watched is a good thiing because at least you know you are protected.

Dog Saves Owner

I think that the dog was pretty smart. The owner trained him very well in the scence that when there is trouble, he can can for help. If I was the dispatcher, I would Have thought that someone was calling making a prank. I think that he dog was very heroic.

Homecoming 2008

I enjoyed Homecoming this year. Although I did not go to the parade, I did go to the game. The game was AWSOME. The Trojans won 24 to 0. I also went to the dance. The dance was pretty good, but it was kind of hot. This is my SENIOR year and i'm going to enjoy it.

Abandoned Baby found at Beijing's Bird Nest toilets

I don't know why the mother left her baby in the Beijing's Bird Nest toilets. I feel as if she did not want the baby, she should have gave it up for adoption or sent it to an orphanage.

Brittney Spears & the VMAs

I did not watch the VMA's, but I can say that I honestly cannot judge Brittany Spears. Whatever she is going through maybe she'll get better and become a better person in society.

Sick Days

I think that this will affect students in the scence that some teachers may not grade the work right and the students end up having missing grades and other work. I also think that it might affect some teachers in that the other teacher may not teach the lesson as they would have wanted it to be taught, and that they get behind in lesson plans.

Opinion of Blogging

So far, I do like blogging. It is a fun way to express my feelings in a positive and nice way, without being rude.

Female VP

Republican presidential nominee John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate last week. What are your thoughts on his choice? How will it affect his campaign? Do you think Hillary Clinton's supporters will be drawn to McCain since Palin is a female?

I feel like he made his choice because of the fact that Barak Obama did not chose Hilary Clinton aas his VP. I feel like it MIGHT affect him in the scense that the women that voted for Hilary will vote for Palin.

Teen Pregnancy

As everyone has observed, teen pregnancy has been on the rise over the past 2 years. Why do you think this has happened? Is it related to peer pressure? Accidental? Planned?

I believe that pregnancies are not accidental. Sometimes I do believe that they are planned. At times I do believe that peer pressure does have a lot to do with it. Some teens feel like if their friends are doing it, then they should also. Not is it the friends, but it is also the boy's. Boy's pressure girls to get them to do things they don't want to do, and sometimes if they're not strong enough, then they will give into their weaknesses. Some pregnancies are also planned because girls and boy's know the consequinces of their actions when choosing to engage in sexual activities, and some are planned because feel as if because they can take care of one for someone else, that they can take care of one of their own.
